Haus of Ill!

I have missed writing here, but a new years resolution of mine (is it that time already) is to post more more more! Who will read it? Well a grand total of me is good enough to do so.

Like the last post, so much has happened.

My baby Cameron is growing like a weed and it is so much fun seeing the person she is becoming. That is by far the most amazing/important thing that has been going on is my family, but work has been keeping uber busy.

We wrapped on a few projects. Always great.

Personally, I do some freelance stuff on the side, and one of my good friends tapped me on the shoulder to do a re-design of their website for their company, The Alamo Drafthouse. It has taken a few months to do, but it is up and ready to check out previews and purchase tickets.

Last, but certainly not least is something called the phizzpop design challenge sponsored by Microsoft. My company, thirteen23, along with 5 other companies were asked to do a 2.5 day challenge to solve a problem using microsoft technologies. Some of the other companies are frog design, projekt202, neudesic, and pop labs. It was a tough few days, and the presentations of the solutions had me a little nervous. But after all was said and done, we took home the win. That is very exciting for us because we are 4 guys and everyone else has a bit more than 4 guys.

We walked away with a ton of MS software and an XBox with Halo3. Nice stuff, but it is just nice to win. Below is a pic of Simon and I celebrating after I got a ton of sleep.
